Starting February 10-18 (Saturdays 10:00am-7:30pm) the Chinese cultural centre (Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre – 197 First Street SW) will be hosting the Chinese New Year celebration.
They will have decorations, Dragon & Lion Dance, music, Chinese lantern displays, martial art demonstration, singing, folk art, food, and booths selling gifts.

The exhibit will be open until June 20
Starting Monday at 9 am there will be a parking ban enforced for any area marked with the snow removal signs. It will be held for 72 hours. Cars that are not moved will be ticketed and towed.
February 1-28th the hot chocolate festival is a way to find which hot chocolate is the most tasty in our city. ALL of the proceeds get donated to support the meals on wheels. In the years since the festival has started, it has raised over 62 thousand dollars.
Participating cafes, restaurants, and chocolatiers feature signature hot chocolate drinks created especially for this competition. There will be voting for the best drink!

Starting today, the glenbow museum is opening it’s new exhibit on Frida Kahlo!
